Edison Releasing Top Podcast Badges. Edison Research announces the release of an official Top Podcast badge for shows to use that designate them as having achieved a spot within the top rankings of weekly podcast listeners, based on Edison Podcast Metrics. The Top Podcast badge is available for shows in the Top 10, Top 25, and Top 50 rankings from Edison Podcast Metrics in both the U.S. and the UK.

Compass Enters Deal with Deja Vu. Radio personality and ABC Television contributor Déjà Vu is working with Compass Media Networks to manage all aspects of marketing, distribution, and advertising sales for “The Deja Vu Show.” She says, “I love radio, and it is my mission to continue to do whatever it takes to grow our presence on the radio in every possible market in the country.”

Audacy Partners with C-Word Podcast. Audacy Podcasts partners with award-winning writer, director, actor, and producer Lena Dunham and writer, historian, and curator Alissa Bennett to handle sales and distribution for their podcast, “The C-Word,” bringing the previously paywalled podcast to all major podcast platforms for free for the first time. The two creators say, “We loved making ‘The C-Word,’ and now we’re thrilled to bring her out of the vault and into the hearts of listeners everywhere. KSTA, San Antonio the New Home for the Joe Pags Show

Talk radio star Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo will be heard in his home market of San Antonio on Alpha Media’s news/talk KTSA, effective July 1. The Joe Pags show is nationally syndicated to some 170 affiliates via Compass Media Networks and will air on KTSA in the 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm daypart. Alpha Media SVP andimg market manager Lance Hawkins says, “Joe Pags represents everything we value at KTSA. He’s dynamic, authentic, and rooted in Texas values. Compass Media Networks nationally syndicated talk host Erick Erickson says he’s making it a priority to visit stations for listener and client meet and greets and adds that to reduce the burden on the affiliates, the show is picking up travel expenses for himself and team. Salem Media Group brings talk media personality Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo aboard to host a new podcast titled, “Unshaken and Unafraid,” across its platforms. Pagliarulo’s daily, three-hour talk radio show is syndicatedimg nationally with affiliate relations and sales handled by Compass Media Networks. Pags says, “This is more than a podcast. Compass Media Networks Announces New Associates

Compass Media Networks brings three new staffers aboard, including news pro Chad Robison, who is named a news anchor for “Your Money Now.” In this role, Robison will anchor the “Your Money Now” twiceim-hourly money news reports Monday through Friday in middays and PM drive. Robison most recently served as evening news anchor at Townsquare Media’s WKXW-FM, Trenton New Jersey 101.5.” Compass Media Networks also names Joe Mackay director of audio sales. The 25-year radio sales pro, based in Chicago, will manage advertising sales relationships throughout the West Coast and Midwest. Also joining the company as manager of sales planning is Laura Schaeffer. The 10-year radio industry pro will help manage customer relationships and assist sales executives and management with sales proposals and inventory management. She is based in New York.

Compass Media Networks promotes executives Robert Blum, Tyler Brewer, and Chris Kleiber, who will collectively oversee the content creation, production, and distribution of the company’s play-by-play sports platform. Blum, a 12-year veteran of the company, is named vice president & general manager ofim sports. He’ll continue to serve as vice president of affiliate sales for news/talk and sports. Brewer, a 14-year veteran of the company, is named executive producer – sports programming. Kleiber, a 10-year veteran of the company, is been named senior producer – sports programming. Talk host Lars Larson inks a four-year contract renewal with Alpha Media to continue his role as host of his 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm show on news/talk KXL-FM, Portland.

Zionist Organization of America is honoring Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy, with its Zionist Hero Award on Sunday (3/17) in Davie, Florida, at its “Heroes for Israel” gala. Also, Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., will be honored with the ZOA’s Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Defender of Israel Award.

Compass Media Networks, in partnership with the Big Ten Conference, is broadcasting exclusive, national audio coverage of all rounds of the TIAA Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament live from the Target Center in Minneapolis. This marks Compass Media Networks’ 15th year of coverage. In addition to continuous coverage on SiriusXM’s College Sports Radio Channel, the Big Ten Radio Channel, and the Varsity app, broadcasts will be heard nationwide on over 125 terrestrial stations.

Auddia Inc announces a partnership with Sounds Profitable, a podcasting research and advocacy firm. Auddia CEO Michael Lawless states, “We’re delighted to kick off this partnership. Cox Media Group Cancels Mark Kaye Show

In a surprise move, Cox Media Group cancels “The Mark Kaye Show” based at its Jacksonville news/talk outlet WOKV-FM and syndicated to O&Os WDBO, Orlando; KRMG-AM/FM, Tulsa and WHIO-imAM/FM, Dayton. The program aired in the 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm ET daypart and the stations are going to replace the show with “The Erick Erickson Show” based at CMG’s WSB-AM/WSBB-FM, Atlanta. The Erickson program is syndicated by Compass Media Networks. It appears that producer Hannah Guile is also exiting as a result of this move. Compass Media Networks’ Michelle Salvatore to Leave the Company

Compass Media Networks announces that sports division SVP and general manager Michelle Salvatore is resigning after more than 15 years with the company to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity outside of media. The company says Salvatore will continue with the company through the spring and will advise the company on a transition plan. Compass founder and CEO Peter Kosannim says, “Back in Spring of 2009, during the chaos and sleepless nights involved in launching this national media company, the media gods sent me an angel in the form of Michelle Salvatore. Michelle faced down every challenge, worked tirelessly and with good cheer, and set a gold standard of excellence for not only Compass Media Networks, but our industry. The Compass Media Networks nationally syndicated Lars Larson show celebrates its 20th anniversary this month. Larson hosts a daily afternoon show on Alpha Media’s news/talk KXL-FM, Portland from 12:00im noon to 4:00 pm in addition to the syndicated program heard 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm PT. Larson states, “20 years ago this month, Peter Kosann (then CEO of Westwood One) asked me to do a nationally syndicated radio talk show to replace a departing host. When Peter and I both left WWO and he formed Compass Media Networks, he asked if I would continue the partnership we had forged in the first six years. I quickly and happily agreed. Todd Schnitt and Compass End “Schnitt Show”

Radio personality Todd Schnitt announces he’s ending his Compass Media Networks nationally syndicated afternoon drive news/talk program to focus on his “MJ Morning Show” on CHR WRBQ-FM, Tampa. Launched in October of 2001, “The Schnitt Show” was eventually heard in more than 75 markets. Schnitt says, “For over 20im years, I have been working two daily jobs. Erick Erickson Partners with Compass Media for Syndication

WSB-AM/WSBB-FM, Atlanta-based talk radio host Erick Erickson and Compass Media Networks partner for the syndication efforts of his program.
