FOX Sports Radio is unveiling it weekend lineup for the 2025 football season and it includes some new shows and new staffers. NFL analyst and senior producer at NFL Films, Greg Cosell, is now co-hosting theimg Sunday morning 8:00 am to 10:00 am show with Mike Harmon. Also, WGFX-FM, Nashville host Buck Reising joins longtime friend and FSR weekend personality Jason Fitz to co-anchor “Buck & Fitz” on Saturdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm ET. Fangirl Sports Network Founder and KNBR 49ers correspondent Tracy Sandler and Spectrum News Sports host and sideline reporter Nikki Kay are joining Alex Curry and Carmen Vitali on the 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday program.

Sunrise Broadcasting Launches Hudson Valley Sports Talker

Sunrise Broadcasting launches “FOX Sports 1220AM/94.5 FM” on WGNY-AM/FM, Newburgh, New York and on the HD2 channel of AC WJGK-FM, Newburgh serving the Hudson Valley with content from FOX Sportsimg Radio, including “Two Pros and a Cup of Joe,” “The Dan Patrick Show,” “The Herd with Colin Cowherd,” and more. The station will also broadcast FOX Sports Radio around the clock on weekends. Sunrise operations director Robert J. Colin Cowherd Adds 400th Affiliate. FOX Sports Radio’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” reaches the 400-affiliate milestone with the addition of iHeartMedia’s “Rip City Radio 620 Portland” (KPOJ-AM). Cowherd says, “I couldn’t be more excited about the move! The Northwest has always held a special place in my heart! I was so fired up when I got the call from iHeart and am extremely honored that of all the cities, Portland’s KPOJ is my 400th affiliate.”

Benztown Partners with APM Music. Benztown is partnering with production music library APM Music to bring the latter’s work to radio stations. The APM Music library includes 1.3 million tracks in every genre and style from around the world and a constant flow of new releases, with more than 180 new curated new albums, 8,000 new tracks, and 2,000 songs with stems added each month.

Mission Media AI Partners with VSiN. Mission Media AI partners with VSiN, The Sports Betting Network to exclusively represent advertising sales across VSiN’s portfolio of content. Mission Media says the partnership strengthens its growing footprint in the sports space and unlocks new revenue opportunities for VSiN across their multitude of consumer touch points, including eight regional sports networks.

Paragon Welcomes Mikel Ellcessor. Paragon adds longtime public radio professional Mikel Ellcessor as an on-air fundraising consultant. Paragon says Ellcessor’s expertise will complement on-air fundraising consultant Christina Shockley’s specialized and proven approach to strategizing and producing modern, listener-focused, and impactful on-air fund drives and membership campaigns and adds that Paragon is fully situated to provide new fundraising strategies at a time when public radio stations are seeking new revenue solutions.

While “The Dan Patrick Show” is on vacation, a special edition of “Covino & Rich” will broadcast in the show’s 9:00 am to 12:00 noon ET timeslot. Post-game coverage will continue Wednesday, July 16 with a broadcast from iHeartMedia Atlanta’s studios.

iHeartMedia Memphis Presenting Chicken & Beer Festival.  iHeartMedia Memphis, including news/talk WREC, is presenting the seventh annual Memphis Chicken & Beer Festival on Saturday, August 16 on the field of the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Memphis. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit local charity Merge Memphis.

Townsquare to Reveal Q2 Financial Results. Townsquare Media will release second quarter 2025 financial results before the market opens on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. The company will host a conference call to discuss certain second quarter 2025 financial results that day at 8:00 am ET.

KORE Broadcasting is relaunching KNCU-FM, Newport, Oregon as a sports talk outlet under the brand “FOX Sports Newport.” KORE Broadcasting acquired the station from Dave Miller and flips the station fromimg the country format Hank FM. In addition to FOX Sports Radio content, the station also features Portland, Oregon based “The Bald-Faced Truth with John Canzano” and local show “Danny and Justin,” airing from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm daily. “Covino & Rich” Celebrate 20 Years

FOX Sports Radio personalities Steve Covino and Rich Davis celebrated the 20th anniversary of the “Covino & Rich” show with an exclusive listener event in Las Vegas this past weekend. More than 300 listeners traveled to Las Vegas to enjoy a live broadcast of the show. The weekend also featured a mixer at Circa’s Legacy Club Rooftop Cocktails to watch the fireworks show, an afternoon of golf at Atomic Golf Las Vegas, and dinner at Circa Sportsbook. The weekend concluded with a night of karaoke at Cat’s Meow, where Covino and Davis joined listeners on stage to perform a few songs. Premiere Networks’ FOX Sports Radio announces that its coverage of this week’s NFL Draft will includes two of its nationally syndicated program broadcasting live from Green Bay. The network’s 25th annual Draft Night LIVEimg broadcast will be led by FOX NFL Insider Jay Glazer, who will be joined by network personality LaVar Arrington, former Jets general manager Joe Douglas, and FOX Sports’ lead College Football reporter Jenny Taft to deliver live predictions, analysis and reactions throughout the night on Thursday. Additionally, “The Dan Patrick Show” will broadcast live from The Bar – Holmgren Way as will “The Doug Gottlieb Show” – emanating from The Legacy Hotel – Green Bay and The Bar – Holmgren Way on April 24 and 25.

Frank Cusumano to Join KTRS, St. Louis as Wendy Wiese’s Co-Host

St. Louis media personality Frank Cusumano – who’s spent much of the last 30 years in sports talk imradio and television in St. Louis – will join news/talk KTRS, St. Louis to co-host the midday show with incumbent Wendy Wiese. Cusumano was most recently with sports talk KFNS, St. Louis until owner Dave Zobrist pulled the plug on local sports hosts and installed FOX Sports Radio. Zobrist is putting KFNS up for sale. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Cusumano is taking over the co-hosting duties from Jennifer Blome after her recent retirement.

KFNS-AM, St. Louis Drops Local Talent; Will Air FOX Sports Radio

The media reports from St. Louis indicate that sports talk KFNS-AM, St. Louis owner and general manager Dave Zobrist has let his local staff of sports talk hosts go and will begin airing FOX Sports Radio content beginning Monday (7/1). Premiere Networks is announcing that the station is its newest affiliate today.im Zobrist tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the change is financial in nature as he is actively seeking a buyer for the station. Leaving KFNS-AM are morning hosts Cam Janssen, Charlie Marlow, and Jim Hayes; late morning host Frank Cusumano, and afternoon personalities Nate Lucas and Bernie Miklasz. In the FOX Sports Radio press release, Zobrist says, “We’re excited to expand our partnership with FOX Sports Radio to bring the biggest names in the sports talk format to St. Louis. Broadcasting FOX Sports Radio’s lineup, along with local play-by-play, will continue our commitment to delivering bold, exciting and entertaining sports talk to our listeners.”

FOX Sports Radio announces the addition of three new sports media personalities to its weekend programming. FOX Sports NFL Analyst Carmen Vitali joins FOX sports reporter Alex Curry to co-host “FOX Sports Saturday with Alex Curry & Carmen Vitali” on Saturdays (4:00 pm to 6:00 pm ET). FSR’s Doug Gottlieb to Coach UW-Green Bay Men’s Hoops

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay athletic director Josh Moon announces that FOX Sports Radioim personality Doug Gottlieb is the new head coach of the school’s men’s basketball team. In what is a first, Gottlieb will continue to host his daily, two-hour radio show for FSR while undertaking his new role with UW-GB Phoenix. Gottlieb was a standout point guard at Oklahoma State from 1997 – 2000. He’s coached AAU teams and coached at the Maccabiah Games in Israel. Cumulus Launches “106.1 The Ticket” in New Orleans

Cumulus Media flips WKRN-FM, New Orleans from country to sports talk as “106.1 The Ticket.” The station will air FOX Sports Radio programming and several local shows. In addition to FSR shows suchim as “Two Pros and a Cup of Joe” and “The Dan Patrick Show,” the station will air “Inside New Orleans with Eric Asher” from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by “All Access with Ken Trahan” from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Cumulus Media New Orleans RVP and market manager Pat Galloway says, “The love and passion of New Orleans’ sports fans is amazing. It starts in the playgrounds and ends up in the Superdome and Smoothie King Center, and now we can talk about it all the time on the all-new ‘106.1 The Ticket.’”

Rob Parker to Build Detroit Sports Talker with Black Talent

This story was first reported by the Detroit News last week. Awful Announcing summarizes the piece as sports media personality Rob Parker and retired NBA player and current agent B.J. Armstrong areim building “Sports Rap Radio” to air on Audacy’s WXYT-AM, Detroit with a target launch of mid-May. In what will likely be a first in sports talk radio, the lineup of air talent will be all-Black. WXYT-AM currently airs Audacy’s BetQL Network programming. Parker is quoted by the Detroit News saying, “It will be young people getting opportunities and former athletes, from Detroit or with ties to Detroit.” The lineup will be local from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and will segue into FOX Sports Radio’s “The Odd Couple” featuring Parker and Chris Broussard at 7:00 pm. iHeartMedia Debuts Two Florida Sports Talkers

iHeartMedia Florida debuts “FOX Sports Radio Orlando 97.9 FM/AM 810” on former Spanish news WRSO-AM, Orlovista and “FOX Sports Radio Jacksonville AM 930” on former Spanish news WFXJ-AM,im Jacksonville. Both stations will air the full slate of FOX Sports Radio programs. These format flips spell the end of the “Accion Radio Network” airing Spanish-language news/talk and information. iHeartMedia North Florida area president Paul Rogers says, “We remain fully committed to providing the best quality entertainment and information to the Hispanic residents on the First Coast and will continue to explore ways we can increase our impact there. The opportunity to return the FOX Sports brand to its original home on AM 930 in Jacksonville was simply too good to pass up. Its appeal cuts across and unites every segment of our community.”

Benztown will release the 10th Annual Benztown 50 List of Radio’s Biggest Imaging Voices, “the radio industry’s exclusive listing of the top 50 voiceover artists in the U.S. and Canada.” The Benztown 50 list is based on several criteria, including number of radio station affiliates, station size and market. Syndicated Solutions, Inc celebrates its 25th Anniversary. The company was founded in February 1999 by Robert Carey and has successfully syndicated many radio shows over the years, including the current travel show “RMWorldTravel with Robert & Mary Carey and Rudy Maxa,” and the “Rick & Bubba Show” that is in the process of being transitioned into “The Rick Burgess Show.” Carey says, “It’s incredibly gratifying to have incubated SSI from a business trip conversation with George Green while working for Disney/ABC and successfully growing it into the company that SSI became for so many of our operating years, as well as the evolution into the more focused firm that we are today.”

FOX Sports Radio’s “The Paulie and Tony Fusco Show” was awarded the 2024 Sports Podcast Award for “Best Sports Comedy,” from The Sports Podcast Group. “The Paulie and Tony Fusco Show” is a satire of sports talk radio and “hot take” media personalities. It is written, produced, and hosted by veteran sports talk producers Andrew Samson and Sharief Ali, who play two Philadelphia Eagles fans who claim to have the “smartest” sports takes, when in reality their takes are terrible.

iHeartPodcasts debuts episode two of “Finding Matt Drudge,” a limited series podcast hosted by longtime political journalist Chris Moody, who sets out to uncover the mysteries surrounding the Internet’s most enigmatic media mogul. The new investigative audio series will delve deep into the life and career of Matt Drudge, the reclusive figure and founder of The Drudge Report, with the ultimate goal of convincing Drudge to sit down for his first interview in years. Moody says, “Matt Drudge pushed the news industry into the Internet age and his site has remained relevant and engaging for decades. But he hasn’t given an interview in years. We’d like to hear his thoughts on his career, the media, politics and the state of the world. Drudge matters, and we’re interested in what he has to say. Call us, Matt!”

FOX Sports Radio, a division of Premiere Sports Network announces its plans to broadcast live from Las Vegas during Super Week. A number of the network’s programs will broadcast from Las Vegas all week long including “The Dan Patrick Show” from Fontainebleau Las Vegas and several other shows broadcasting from Radio Row at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Dan Patrick to Broadcast from Fontainebleau Las Vegas During Super Week

Fontainebleau Las Vegas will welcome sports media personality Dan Patrick and “The Dan Patrick Show” to Las Vegas for five days of live “Big Game” coverage leading up to the 58th professional football championship at Allegiant Stadium. Patrick’s show, part of FOX Sports Radio’s 24th annual “Superim Week” coverage, will be staged before a live audience – February 5 through 9 on the Fontainebleau Las Vegas third floor Oasis Pool Deck. Patrick says, “Every year when we plan where to take the show for this week – the biggest week in sports – we look to try something new, something fresh and the Fontainebleau is the newest and freshest spot in Las Vegas. News/talk WGDJ, Albany and owner Paul Vandenburgh are the subjects of an interesting piece by Chris Churchill in the Times-Union. Vandenburgh has been the owner of the standalone station (it also broadcasts on W254DA at 98.7 FM) for 17 years. In addition to owning and running the ship, he also hosts the local morning program. ABC News Radio adds Hubbard Broadcasting’s WTOP-FM, Washington, DC as its newest affiliate station. ABC News Radio says, “This new partnership will support WTOP-FM by providing the station access to live two-ways with ABC News correspondents, including chief Washington correspondent Jonathan Karl, White House correspondent Karen Travers, national correspondent Steven Portnoy and many others.

iHeartMedia Connecticut adds FOX Sports Radio to the lineups at WUCS-FM, Hartford “97-9 FM” and WAVZ-AM, New Haven. SiriusXM and New England College announce that GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will take part in a town hall event with Patriot channel host David Webb. The special will take place before an audience at New England College outside Concord, New Hampshire on September 6, with the one-hour special premiering at 3:00 pm ET.

Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc and the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation announce that Lucretia Lee-Arceneaux is the first  2023 MIW NABLF Launch program recipient. Launch is a brand-new partnership between MIW and the NAB Leadership Foundation dedicated to supporting and guiding women in radio who are relatively new to the industry. The first of its kind, this program will target the development and curation of talent, this year focused on the engineering side of radio.
