Sinclair Communications will be launching its second news/talk radio station in the Norfolk, VA market. “Talkradio 96.5 FM/850 AM” WTAR, will debut on September 16 as an accompaniment to the company’s heritage talker in the market – 790 WNIS.  Company officials tell TALKERS, “With the ever-changing landscape of news and talk shows, we are committed to providing our listeners with even more variety, content, and personalities to choose from,” adding, “WTAR 96.5/850 is designed to be the perfect complement to our heritage news/talk station, 790 WNIS, offering a diverse lineup of engaging shows that cater to a wide range of interests. Whether you’re looking for the latest in local, regional, or national news, or seeking smart and entertaining political commentary, WTAR has something for everyone.”

The station will debut with the following weekday programming lineup:
